There is a daily beach fee that all tourists must pay during Memorial Day and Labor Day holidays. A Day Pass for visitors over 13 costs $6 during the week but $9 on weekends and holidays. Children under the age of 12 are not charged an admission fee to the beach.

Pet-friendly 8th Avenue Dog Beach in Asbury Park, NJ welcomes Fido all day long between mid-September and mid-May. In summertime, you and Fido should plan an early morning or evening visit as dogs are prohibited between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm. Asbury Park History

In the later part of the 19th century, people came for its newfangled merry-go-round and boardwalk. By 1930, the Convention Hall and Paramount Theatre began gathering crowds for live entertainment. It then quickly became known as a center for culture, which is still very much the spirit today.
